Healthy Living: Planning Well Balanced Meals on a Budget

GOSHEN, Ind. - Eating healthy can seem difficult when you are counting pennies, but it doesn't have to be. Careful meal planning can help you create a grocery list that's good for both your family's health and budget.

Join Kerry Tumbleson, Clinical Dietician and Mary Ann Lienhart, from the Purdue
University Elkhart County Extension Office, on Thursday, Jan. 22 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Martins Supermarket in Goshen on US 33. The class will be held in the upstairs section of Martins' Side Door Deli.

Together, they will teach participants about healthy meal planning on a budget and conduct a grocery tour to aid in shopping and grocery list preparation.

In addition, two lucky participants will have a chance to a copy of "The Everything Meals On A Budget Cookbook" by Linda Larsen. A $25 gift card from Martins Super Market will also be raffled. This is a free event presented by Goshen Health System and Martin's Super Markets.
