Healthy Generations offers Fitness and Nutrition Expo
GOSHEN, Ind. - With busy schedules, snacks-on-the-go and too much television, keeping your family fit and healthy can be a challenge.
On Saturday, Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Retreat Conference Center, 1135 Professional Drive in Goshen, Healthy Generations is offering a free Fitness & Nutrition Expo for the community.
"The day will have something for everyone," said Norma Monik, Healthy Generations' Fitness & Nutrition Coordinator. "Families can try any of our many fitness class offerings and will walk away with healthy eating tips to use at home."
"From Tai Chi and cooking demonstrations to Body Mass Index screenings, there will be educational information and activities for people of all ages," said Monik. "Dietitians will give great ideas for maintaining your health and we'll have a variety of demonstrations from our fitness instructors."
Saturday's events include:
10 a.m.: Piyo, Healthy Kids Snacks, Cooking Demo, Tai Chi Easy
10:30 a.m.: Sculpt, Strengthen & Stretch, Pre & Postnatal Fitness
11 a.m.: Piyo, Tai Chi Easy, LEARN the Weight Management Program
11:30 a.m.: Kids Yoga, Sculpt, Strengthen & Stretch, Fabulous Foods for Fitness Cooking Demo
Noon: Zumba, Tai Chi Easy, Senior Fitness
12:30 p.m.: Gentle Yoga for Beginners, Kids/ Teen Fitness, Pilates on the Ball
1 p.m.Yoga for Everyone, Fun Fitness for Everyone, Healthy Foods in a Hurry, Tai Chi Easy
1:30 p.m.: Zumba, Cardio Drumming, LEARN the Weight Management Program
